How do i connect another uniden cordless handset

if you can get the exact model as the existing hand set it should not be a problem
just follow the installation process to get the base to recognize it so that it connects

The handset is fubar.

Often the handsets must be re-registered when they won't work. Sometimes they have to be de-registered, then re-registered before getting them to work. Uniden has many different model number 5.8 GHz cordless phones, send a comment with the model number and I will give specific help on your cordless. Try placing the handset in the base unit to register it. Then see if it is found by the base.

You want to retrieve your phone messaqges from where..?
A answering machine connected to the Uniden Cordless phone?
Or from elsewhere on your telephone line?

if its a message on a digital answering device attached or built into your Uniden cordless phone..... what type and model is the complete cordless phone?
( ie: 2.4GHz, 5.8GHz 6.0GHz??? Is Uniden cordless phone a Multi handset (1, 2, 3, 4..handsets?) do you need an instruction manuel on how to access it, or did you loose a password?

Sorry for all the questions.. but many cordless phones All operate slightly different, and I'd love to give you a quick fix fast.

Try the following procedure to reset and re-sync the phone system:

• Disconnect all units from power.
• Remove batteries from all handset.
• Check all phone connections to base.
• Check the phone connector underneath the base (RJ11 squared plug).
• Put back battries on handsets.
• Place handsets on base.
• Connect base back to power with handset sitting on base.

If that does not fix the problem , then there is an internal fault. In that case call Uniden to arrange repair or replacement.

This is possibly caused by the internet connection.
Try new ADSL filter.
You need one each per device.

I successfully reset Radio Shack (Uniden) 5561 handset by reconnecting the battery while holding the '*' and '#' key, then press the right upper soft key near the LCD window. The display will indicate "EEPROM/RAM cleared!!" and will return the handset to the factory default condition - looking for a base to register to.
