The two needles on my serger are broken, how do I replace them?

You might want to check the owners manual to make sure this is right for your machine (or let us know which machine you have), but on my Singer, there is a small screw between the two needles that must be loosened - be sure to hold the needle fragments as you do this to prevent them falling. Notice the orientation of the needle fragments as you remove them, then orient two new needles the same way the fragments were, insert them all the way into the machine and tighten the screw while holding them in place.

The thread keeps breaking and tangling in the machine

Make sure the needle is inserted correctly with the flat side of the needle oriented as described in your manual. Different machines have different needle orientation and could cause this problem. Perhaps when you re-inserted the original needle it inadvertently got corrected.

Getting my machine to thread the bobbin threw the bottom of the sewing machine

That can be caused by a few things.

1. Bobbin un-spooling in the wrong direction. (when you hold the bobbin and tug the thread it should spin the bobbin to the left)

2. The needle isn't fully inserted, is bent, or not correctly oriented.

3. The machine is not timed correctly.

Good luck

Top thread will not pick up the bobbin thread

Something is likely wrong with your needle. replace it, making sure it is well seated in the needle bar... also make sure you are orienting the needle in the correct direction for your machine.

Good luck

Appreciate if anyone could please advice me: where

Dear Anna,The foot pedal is actually a switch that activates when you kick. It is better to replace this one with one which is used in the industry. I have addvised many to buy a foot pedal that is used for motors in industry and that is very commonly available in hardware shops speciallising in machine spares. You will get to see different models, choose one which has a rugged platform with a good action. I am sure this will work out better than the original. Pleae connect the two wires according to the sam pattern , do not forget to switch off your connections when attempting the job. Hope this advice helps. Good day
