To receive Sirius Satellite Radio on the NX501, you can connect the optional SC-C1 Sirius Connect Universal Vehicle Tuner 607SCC1 directly to the head unit's Sirius direct connection (no proprietary interface required), although this is no longer available, or try https://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_91789_SiriusXM-SXV300v1-70-Rebate-3-Months-FREE.html
If it Sirius capable, get the radio's Sirius satellite ESN, (electronic serial number), from your radio and call Sirius satellite radio and they will tell you what to do. I don't know how to get this number from your unit but in my Lincoln, all I had to do was push and hold the Sirius button on the dash with the radio on and it popped up on the display. Your instruction manual should tell you how to do it. If it isn't compatible, you'll have to buy a Sirius receiver and have it activated with them. Good luck.
I would do the following, hoping one of them works.
1) DISCONNECT the power to the radio and SiriusXM unit to "clear" it. Then reconnect and ask Sirius to resend signat.
2) Ask Sirius to UNSUBCRIBE that radio so it is deactivated. Then, have them reactivate and resend programing signal.
3) Be sure your car is outside under clear sky when Sirius sends the program signal.
4) It is possible the antenna cable to your unit is loose at the connections and/or damaged. A weaker signal may get your stations, but may prevent the additional Navigational signals. Have the antenna checked thoroughly and tested. If car is still under warranty, this should be a covered diagnostic/repair.
5) Finally, be sure the correct Radio Serial Number is being activated. If your radio works, that is one service. But maybe they are putting a wrong number by some chance into the system to fix this one? For example, you have TWO radios in TWO cars. Are they sending the turn on signal to the WRONG radio? Not as farfetched as you might think.
The frst the partyou will need is the (JVC KSS-RA100) this part lets you control the Sirius tuner from the Jvc radio. The next part is the tuner for Sirius this part number is (SIRIUS SC-C1)
No, but you can call Sirius IF somebody does take your radio and they will unsubscribe your radio's serial number, so that they can't hear anything, and it gets put on a 90day list so that the 'stealer' theif can't activate your radio.
2) Have you called Sirius and given the serial number of that receiver?
Those are the first two things you have to do to get a Sirius receiver working. (The original owner could have changed his account to use his new receiver, if he has one.) Go to http://www.sirius.com/install - the "activate" part - for details.
