Hi,
It looks like there's lightning (arcing) inside my microwave
When you see arcing inside your microwave, it's because of food or liquid left in the cavity or on the wave-guide cover:
Note… If there are any burn holes in the cavity, don't use the unit-seek help from a qualified appliance repair technician.
Thanks for contacting Fixya
Inside the wave guide cover of a Panasonic Micro is a copper colored nozzle looking device. If the edges of the nozzle are jagged and burnt looking it is best to replace the micro. Panasonic's with inverter technology are prone to early burn out.
Hi,
In my opinion you should replace that microwave oven because that small burned hole can emit micro waves out side oven that is serious danger for life.
Do not take risk and consider this oven a junk.
Thanks.

I have already replaced the wave unit and cleaned the inside of the microwave. It worked several times but then the arcing happened again. Just above the wave unit there is a small burn hole that looks like it may have gone through the lining. Will microwave "paint" or something else actually fix that? Or do I need to replace the whole unit?
I am still waiting for a reply to my second posting in which I am asking if my microwave, which appears to have a hole burned through the lining on one side, is fixable or if I need to replace the whole unit. Please advise,
