How do I change the molded fuel line on my Mcculloch 605 chainsaw? Can I replace it with an unmolded type?

Shouldn't be that hard to do. Possible paths 1) Run hose from tank fitting to Carb fitting. 2) Run hose from tank to shut-off vale to Carb 3) Run hose from tank to shut-off to prime to carb 4) run hose from tank to shut-off to prime to filter to carb. Omit any item not on your saw.

Yes you can do a generic one, just get to any chain saw rea pair shop and tell them your problem or go to Mcculloch.

I just did a primer bulb not too long ago, but I don't remember what equipment it was on. They are generally easy to replace. First, remove anything that is retaining the bulb assembly, such as cover plate. On my Homelite chainsaw, I simply pried it out with a small screwdriver.
The replacement part itself has two barbed stubs that the two fuel line hoses push onto.
Make sure that you keep the fuel line tubes above the fuel level at all times to prevent leakage.

You should run the saw on a 50-1 fuel oil mix, with an oil from a known chainsaw manufacturer and recommended for 50-1, this machine was an Italian built product sold under many different model names, Titanium 460,Partner 538, California, i am sure if you surf the net you will find one.
