How to fix microcode update in dc 7800 - HP Compaq d530 SFF PC Desktop

Have you ugraded the OS? If so, it's a common issue. Is that the only issue? Open Device Manager, anything else listed as Unknown Devices?

The microcode is part of the computers BIOS that identifies the processor. To update the microcode you need to install the latest BIOS for your motherboard. You can go to Hewlett-Packard's download page HERE, select "Download drivers and software (and firmware)" and enter your computers model information. On the next page select your operating system. This will give you the download link for the latest BIOS for your computer.
