For many full size pressure washers the hose, lance, nozzles and various accessories are almost universal parts that can be supplied by many local businesses that specialise in servicing the local market; professional and serious users that need repairs, replacements and accessories. Such businesses are found in almost every town, often selling and servicing professional vacuum cleaners, janitorial equipment, dust and fume extraction...
Such businesses are a mine of advice and information and a source of hard to find spares...
The compact pressure washer tends to use a lance that is exclusive to the make and model and universal parts do not fit. Replacements might be available in the aftermarket but might only be available as an official spare part.
Most are a common size. You can bring the hose or lance to a home store LIke Home Depot or Tractor supply and they will get the right fittings, quick disconnects and/or longer hose
out the drain plug ? Sight glass window ? Under the pump where the crankcase meets the pump head?
tighten plug, replace oring on sight glass or replace low pressure seals if near the pump
if you have good water flow to it and you have water coming out of the lance when you pull the trigger but its not under presure then it will most likely be bad valves in the pump head or worst case a fault in the pump. any questions just ask away
If the Comet Pressure Pump Oil is some kind of a Synthetic Oil that supposed to be extra effecient than an ordinary oil, then that will cost extra. If that is ordinary multi grade engine oil (SAE 20 - 40), then, you can buy over the counter. Most synthetic oil have additive that give extra longer life to all moving parts.
Dear Osville,
It is not clear what type of lance or nozzel you have. You said that the machine works fine with the circulating water jet(the turbo). So it seems the machine is fine. I do sometimes service variable nozzels and variable lances. But the best solution is to replace nozzels and variable nozzles and lances with new ones. Regarding the fan spray setting it could have no pressure because it might be in the chemical setting. The chemical setting lets out a fan shape flow of water, but with less pressure. The chemical system only works on low pressure in domestic washers, that is why it needs a low pressure flat spray. The pencil jet has 2 jets comming out because if it is a lance or nozzel with ball bearings, these ball bearings must have stuck in a wrong position. Also 2 jets can come out, due to a damaged nozzel hole.
Altogether, the best advice is to buy a new nozzel or lance...which ever your machine uses. All Karcher machines have their own specific nozzels, lances and high pressure hoses. You cannot change these from one model to another.
Regards,
Fulltech.
