Husqvarna 326ls starter rope won't pull

I shut off weedeater to check the line. When I tried to start it I can't get the starter rope to pull. I doesn't pull out at all. It won't budge. Almost seems locked up.

SOURCE: I HAVE A 125L HUSQVARNA TRIMMER. THE RECOIL

Actually, there are two solutions, did not see the two nubs on parts diagram either but I have done some extensive research and the nubs come with the cup assembly. One solution is to go to partstree.com and order part # 545102303 or part # 545180844. Both come with the white plastic nubs and springs. Also, what I did with mine if you are tech savy is cut off the stem that goes through the black cup, drill an 1/8th in hole through the bottom of the plastic nub and then assemble nub and spring and secure putting a screw through the hole in the bottom of the black cup, securing the nub. All you are doing is replacing the part of the nub that goes through the plastic cup with a screw. You are pre drilling the hole in the nub so you dont crack the nub with the screw. Make sure the screw is straight so you dont get too close to the edges or it will crack. This method takes crafty hands and good eyesight. If done correctly, they will never pop out again. Promise!

I have a Husqvarna 125L weedeater, New Fuel, has spark but will not start. Pulling the starter rope makes me feel that either I have a compression problem or a clutch problem it is just to easy to pull. I...

Hi there. Firstly remove the end with the starter cord and make sure the fly wheel is opening when you pull the cord. If not lubricate it until it frees. If it is working then it could be just the carb gaskets need replacing or the worst case is that the piston is broke and may need sorting.

Starter rope grabs at times. why?

try using the de-compression button when starting, will do the same as removing the spark plug but without removing the spark plug.

Failing that, remove the starter cover and check starter cord for daage or signs of snagging.

Husqvarna 128cd starter rope will not retract

Sounds like a problem with the recoil spring, remove the pull start assembly and check the spring. (be carefull, they have a tendency to jump out in your face)

Weedeater is usable and ready, don't know how to start it

I hope you have fresh gas and 2-cycle oil mixed up! They always seem to start strong and explosively cut on good, fresh fuel. :D

1:Choke on.

2:Push the primer bulb (rubber ball by the side of the air filter) 3 times.

3:Place trimmer on ground. Grasp the handle, squeezing the throttle fully in left hand. Kneel and give that starter a crisp, sharp tug with your right hand. If the engine "hits", then push in the choke until off. Goto step 4.

If it does not give a hint of life, repeat the tug on the line 2 more times. If it STILL does not start, check for a distinct odor of gasoline. Likely, at this point, it is flooded, proceed to step 5.

4: With choke now off, continue to depress the throttle fully and give it another sharp pull on the starter. If it starts and revs? Let it idle for a minute to warm up, then go to work!

5:With choke OFF, press and hold throttle at full. It may take several pulls on the starter rope to see any life. If after 10 pulls and there is still no life, and still smells of gasoline - time to see the Ex about getting the trimmer looked after for some TLC. :D
