ADMIRAL REFRIGERATOR/FREEZER BURNED

Admiral refrigerator/freezer side-by-side burned on the inside with faulty wiring. Repairman stated wiring was the cause of melting plastic inside the refrigerator not replaceble. The whole refrigerator was smoked/black and all groceries in refrigerator and freezer ruined. Happening during the night while family slept, could have died of smoke inhalation. Purchased new refrigerator/freezer. Could you give an address for Admiral Refrigerator Headquarter to show pictures of the damage and smoke.

    I have an  Admiral model ASD2120DR . It's a side by side. I heard a Sizziling sound coming from the freezer. Is it normal to have a hot coil on the back wall on the bottom? We turned it off for now. HELP my food is going to melt soon!

The fridge has a refrigerant leak, or the thermostat has failed.
Try replacing the thermostat, if that does not work then you will need to call a technician in to find and repair the refrigerant leak and regass the fridge

GE side by side has ice from top to bottom on inside back wall of freezer. GE repairman replaced defrost heater about 2 years ago. Could this part burn out this fast. Freezer temp. is 25 to 30 degrees.
It shouldn't burn out that fast but may have. Some of the side by sides came from the factory with only one heater. Later on it was decided that the replacement heater kit include a second heater. This could be the case for you.

Have moved into new house with Admiral freezer/fridge/icemaker. Leaks water onto floor from time to time under freezer. Ice maker not connected to water supply so not that.ANY SUGGESTIONS?
Defrost drain is clogged causing this problem. Clear the dfrost drain and pan from inside the freezer section by removeing the freezer back cover plate and you will see from there. No extra parts required just patience.
