Remot control working but not properly

Option 1: Purchase replacement remote
Option 2: Purchase a universal remote
Option3: Like most remotes they can be disassembled and the board and rubber pads cleaned with de-natured alcohol and reassembled. This may work but is tedious. Unless batteries have leaked in the remote. Then replacement is your only recourse.

Disassemble or open the remote control Sony RM-YD035

if Sony Remote RM-YD035 does not change channels or turn off TV, the buttons got dirty coz those are you most used buttons.

You can repair Sony Remote RM-YD035 yourself. It's quite easy and fast, with perfect result!

To disassemble or open the remote control Sony RM-YD035, first remove a single screw in the battery compartment. Then use a very thin but strong screwdriver and insert it between top cover and the body at the back part of the battery compartment. Move the screwdriver up and down and slowly move it to the left and to the right and continue along the perimeter. Use two or three such screwdrivers and in 2-4 minutes the top cover plate with buttons will separate from the body/bottom/casing.

Clean both parts thoroughly. And then gently put them back together in the opposite order. The parts will snap closing.

You are done.

Mine is now working perfectly

The volume om my jvc remote [ r m - sthc61j ] is not working properly,,what can I do

i f you know how to disassemble your remote control, you may clean the rubber pads inside, if cleaning wont help, i usually place a small round cut out from an aluminum foil in place of the worn rubber pads switches..

Non functioning "zero" button on Logitech Harmony 880 Rf remote

The problem may be either a stuck "0" button, or the contact on the control board is dirty. You can take the remote apart by removing the screws and slowly separating the top and bottom halves of the remote. There should be 2 screws on the back of the remote (1 is hidden under the battery/cover). If you need further assistance let me know.

Milk spilled on tv remote controller

Remove batteries from remote, to avoid further damage caused from liquid on powered circuits.
Allow the remote with the cover opened to dry for few days. Ideally the remote should be disassembled and the internal parts treated with cleaning solution, or 70% isopropyl alcohol and water. If you do not want to disassemble just let it there to dry up.

If the remote does not work after that , it means that the liquid had damaged circuits.

In that case get a replacement remote.

Having problem with my gpx remote control for my

Try cleaning the remote, the button "5" could be jammed (disassemble the remote, clean the rubber pad(s) with buttons, circuit board AND housing, especially the holes through which the buttons protrude, there may be some stuff keeping the button sticked/jammed).

You can use ethyl alcohol for cleaning.
