I would have this unit checked because the electronic control is 300.00 for this unit. I ran into this and the control was the fault not the wiring to the elements, but I can't tell you to change this because I won't miss lead you like that. Several tests need to be done to rule out a shorted element before the replacement of the control unit p#W10365424, most electronics are not returnable due to there nature of people swopping them and returning them. I think a service call is needed to be sure of the issue you have.

There is this white stuff sold for glass-top stoves. I presume it is good old iron cleaner, a very mild cleaner/polish. Also consider toothpaste.

put in kitchen sink with hot hot water over night, with dish washing liquid. preferbly when kitchen is not being used. (After dinner time) drain then spray with mr muscle oven cleaner give it about an hour, then scrub the **** out of them with a stainless steel goldilocks. Rinse then soak in hot water again for 20 minutes then drip dry. After use when cooking always clean any mess left behind. Wipe down so it is easier for you to wash when needed.

try using an oven cleaner spray... let the range heat up a little..then spray oven cleaner

a new glass top will cost over $600.00 just for the glass.

Did you find anything out? We have had our Jenn-aire gas stove for 1 1/2 years and just noticed today that the surface has bubbled in a spot??? I did clean the oven last week.
