How to remove cover of maytag washing machine

should be a cover to remove then remove bolt

Belt diagram is very simple, normally just motor, idler pulley and drive pulley.

Remove top cover, take out the bolt remove the small cover to expose the plate with several screws,remove the screws and lift the inner tub up. Usually this requires two people to get the tub up and out as it is very hard to pull up as it kind of sticks to the shaft

you have a partially blocked drain from the tub down thru the pump to the drain pipe,remove the lower front cover and remove the drain cleanout and check for blockages in these hoses

The leak can be coming from many different places. Pull the front cover off and we'll go from there. To remove the front cover, loosen and remove 2 phillps screws near the bottom of the front cover. Lift the cover at a 90 degree angle and the cover will pull off.

Hi There,
On the bottom of the front panel there should a philip head screw right above each fron adjusting leg.
Remove these 2 screws. Open the cover and lift up on the front between the drum & cover there are 2 metal clips holding the top down. Swing the top up and remove the front panel. The motor is right in front on the lower left. Let me know if this helps and thank you for using FixYa!
