Faults & possible causes to LCD screen are given with illustrations. You can get an idea about the fault to an extent.

Remove one at a time the Y sus and Y buffer cables that go to the power board and see if the set stays on then, you may have a distorted pic, replace the board that makes the set stay on...there are some transistors on the buffer board that give issues a lot and I'd guess that's where your issue is at

I would go back to green tube disconnect ,unplug CRT board to green tube if set stays up playing its the tube.

It sounds like the picture tube in the monitor has burned out. Time to replace.

It sounds like th green LCD panel laminations or bonding has separated and this is causing your green lines. The optical block would have to be replaced to solve the problem.

Ditto... except my daughter is 10. Both screens remain black, are fully charged and green light stays on for more than 4 minutes.

Something is wrong with the TV :-)

Something is causing green tube to stay on all the time. Could be the tube itself or driving circuitry. Certainly not a user repairable fault.
