LG VU got wet--end call key won't work

LG VU got wet--placed phone in ziploc with silica gel pkts for 2 days. Touchscreen worked again. All buttons worked at first, but the end call button no longer works. I found out the hard way, after taking out the battery, that the end call key also turns on the phone. It won't turn on now.

SOURCE: LG VU screen doesn't work after water damage

I had the same problem and put it in a bag of rice for 48 hours. The touchscreen now works, but I can't get it to connect when making calls. I guess this is 1/2 a solution.

SOURCE: Lg Vu wont charge

First you must determine is it the charger faulty or the phone ? , have you a friend with the same phone if so try her or his battery to see if your phone is ok if so try the charger with your battery and see if it charges if it does get a new charger , if it did not charge or work with your friends battery or charger the sorry it would be cheaper to buy a new phone than try to get it fixed ...
if you haven't got a friend with the same phone have a local electrician check if there is an output from your charger . if there is it may just be the battery try a new one if still no luck it is probably the phone's charger circuit gone pop ,, sorry .. vortash

SOURCE: my touch screen on my phone no longer works

Turn the phone off. Take the battery out then remove your sim card. Before reinstalling the battery hold the power on botton down for about 15 seconds. Replace the sim card then the battery and power the phone on. If this does not fix the problem and you can access the setup menu for the phone restore the setting to factor defaults. Good luck hope this works for you.

Phone wet. Dried for over 24 hours. Now screen black but phone seems to work. How do I fix?

You need to try Silica Gel Packets. There was a good article on associatedcontent.com that explains how to dry an iPod, MP3 player, cell phones, or any electronics. You need to place your phone in a zip lock bag with Silica Gel Packets. Silica Gel will remove all the moisture from the phone and its components, something air drying will not do!
Just Google "Silica Gel Packets" and you will find several companies selling these products. There is also a web site called: http://www.SilicaGelPackets.com that has them.
