When printing full page colored documents and/or pictures, the page comes out with vertical and/or horizontal lines that are missing the colors that were printed. (e.g. We printed a picture of our logo, and there is a blank streak about 1mm wide that runs down the full length of the page.) It is not in the same area consistently, but somewhere on the page there is always a blank line either vertically or horizontally. Is this a problem with the transfer belt or something else? Does the transfer belt need replacing, or can it be cleaned/fixed in house?

Colored vertical streaks - looks like a transfer belt problem, and it's not user fixable. You may need a new belt unit - you can find it for around US$ 80-120, but you may want to have a technician inspect the unit first, since it could arguably be the drum instead, and you don't want to fork around US$ 100 and replace the wrong part.
You can try showing a printer sample at a print shop; by looking at the streaks it is possible to diagnose drum, fuser or belt problems.
Here you find a much more detailed page, for another printer model, but the issues are mainly the same for most color printers:

Try an old toner cartridge if you have one. Does it do it when you use the copier function. Steven 805-520-3003
