Hi, if you haven't already done so, I would recommend you remove the grate and heat plate to clean out the ash from the fire box. Accumulated ash will restrict airflow into the fire box preventing good combustion. While using genuine treager pellets and standard shut-down/cool-down cycle, I have to clean it out periodically.

What is the proper high limit fan setting for a 1994 York Stellar gas furnace? It is currently set to 150 and that allows it to run on a 10 mins on/4 mins off cycle. Is that about right?

The High temperature limit controls how much heat your furnace will deliver. The higher the temperature the hotter the air it delivers. At the same time, the higher the temperature, the hotter the exhaust that is wasted energy. The amount of heat you need relates to outside temperature. Some more sophisticated controls would adjust the high limit to change with outside temperature However, with a fixed limit, the lower the limit the more efficient your operation. If you are looking for maximum efficiency, then you should lower the limit to the point where the fan runs continuously on a cold day. If the fan shuts down, it means that you are making more heat in the furnace than you need. You might want to change the high limit
to be higher in the colder part of the winter when you need maximum heat, and then lower it when the outside temperature worms up.
If you are getting adequate heat at 150 Deg. you should not go higher, because the higher the limit, the lower the efficiency and the greater the stress on the furnace.

Is there a recall costco treager grills

As a Costco member you should receive notification of any recalls on products you've purchased under your membership. As you would know, recalls are very specific - even to the date of mfg. The SKU on each item at Costco carries this data so product issues can quickly be conveyed to their members.

If you haven't received any advise, then your specific Treager is very likely not on any recall list.

Treager grill blow fuse over and over

As you might imagine. If your Treager is blowing fuses, it has an electrical short somewhere. The tricky part is usually finding it. However, on the unit, it will likely be the hot rod. Replace it before the short causes other damage.

Treager is overheating

Make sure you are leaving it open long enough when you first turn it on. Everything in the smoke chamber needs to burn up before you begin. There also may be grease buildup in the bottom of your smoker that is catching on fire. If neither of these two possibilities work, contact Traeger support https://www.traegergrills.com/support

Treager bbq keeps tripping breakers

I would strongly recommend you pull the control panel and inspect the fuse. Before tripping a breaker, your GFS outlet should trip, and/or blow the fuse.

If the unit is tripping circuits, then there is likely a short. Given the material draw from the hot rod, I would start with that. Putting a multi-meter on it to test voltage, should give you a basis to confirm with Treager if it's within spec. Sometimes it's simpler to replace the rod, but this can add up quickly if not the root issue.

Treager smoke auger won't turn

If the auger won't turn because it's jammed, here's details direct from Treager

Elswise, I would check your electrical on the back of your control panel. There should be three sets of two-wire leads: (1) Purple/White=Hot Rod; (2) Orange/White=Induction Fan; and (3) Red/White=Auger. Obviously, check the Red/White leads for voltage and continuity.

My grill stopped smoking after being on for some time and had gotten cold. I restarted it and it start smoking vigorously very quickly. When I turned it to medium there was a internal explosion of sorts as...

I had the same thing happen with my Treager.

However when mine back drafted ( the explosion ) the blew the door open so hard it bent it, I had just turned away or I would have taken that blast in the face, from a distance of 3 feet - could have been one of those OUCH moments

When i talked to Mike Treager he said NEVER start your grill with the door closed And that if you are smoking with low heat before you turn the grill off run it on high for 5 minutes to burn up anything left in the ash pot
I do and have never had a problem since and I rarely need to clean it out as the high fire burns 99% of everything in the ash pot
