You need to purchase a new hard drive and have it installed, If you have anything important on your laptop right now, that is what you want to create a backup of, or you can have the store you buy the hard drive from do the back up for you and most computer stores will load it all to the new drive for free

Mohamed if the hard drive has bad sectors on it is best to replace the hard drive itself. But you need to save the files first by doing so, you have to do a parallel re install. Once you are finished try downloading and saving it on a external hard drive all the files that you saved. Purchase another hard drive and upload the files that you have saved

The Hard Drive must be Write protected. There might be a Toggle switch around External Drive for Write Protection. Or can you save files to any other USB Drive (Pen Drive) ?

try to connect your device into your pc and then, try to save files again, if this doesnt work, try to reformat your hard drive, im sorry to say that all your previous files will be deleted upon the format. after this, make partitions to hard drive. then save some of your files into it. if that doesn't work either, try a disk scan to check if your hard drive has bad sectors.

You cannot switch a hard drive from an old ps3 and put it into the new one. The new ps3 will know that a new hard drive was inserted and offer to format it.

im sorry to tell you this but you cannot retrieve deleted content on your hard drive unless you saved it on a memory card or another hard drive if you did put the memory card in slot a and transfer it on your hard drive or if you saved it on another hard drive replace your current hard drive with the one with saved data on it.

Assuming you have the drive hooked up to your PC, you should be able to open the drive using My Computer. You can simply open the folder and drag and drop any files you wish to save onto your SanDisk drive.
