SOURCE: DVDS stuck in overhead DVD player

the motor will not be strong enough to eject. you can try the emergency eject hole with a paper clip . just push straight in and the gears will began to turn so push straight in a couple of times and it should began to eject.

Overhead car dvd player will play but will not eject the cd

Had the same problem and two audio repair techs told me that it was a matter of 'wear and tear' and would be more economical to replace the unit. Wasn't in a position to do that so modified a pair of tweezers by gluing rubber pads on the heads and gently pulled the disc out. Not the best work-through but it sufficed until I sold the car. The cushioned tweezers didn't damage the discs.
