Did you load the new computer with the disk that came with the machine to load the scan software on the computer

It sounds like you have setup a fax forward box.
You need to set up a one touch, scan to SMB.
this can be easily done via your web browser by typing in the IP address of the MFP and set it from there.
You need the IP address of the laptop and is best to put the shared folder in the main drive (C).
Then for the file path you just need to enter the name of the shared folder EXACTLY as it is on the lap top.
You also MUST enter the ID a password to give it access.

This copier scans as an image. The contents of this file are not searchable. The output type (as default) can be set by logging into the web interface of the machine. As for one- touches that are allready setup as tif, you would need to edit the one touch parameters to set the device to PDF. (image only)

From here make selections until you find the one you want.

Use your Web Browser to log into the device by entering the copier IP Address. From here you can create one-touches as well, and is easier.

where do u scan e mail or folder? if e mail your smtp server ip may have been deleted/changed if folder the path may have changed/deleted or password changed on the server/desktop

I believe you must install the software from the bizhub disc and if that does work you can set it up to setup it to your email as a pdf
