SOURCE: caller id not working

the directory key is storage for caller id. dtr80 is not the type of system but the type of phone.
The system needs to have other components like a mif card in order to store caller id.
Also if your phone does not ring with incoming outside call than you will not get caller id.

SOURCE: Changing amount of rings when going to voicemail

The call forwarding was turned off. To turn on, press speaker, enter 793, press 1(for set), press extention number, and enter 300. If you have call forwarding on and are looking for more rings, do the above steps except press 2 (for clear).

SOURCE: I have a 4 line NEC Dterm 80 phone. How do I recall the past

depends on the type pf system. Do you have a coib installed in the system? Is caller id setup or programmed? If there is no mif card in the switch you cannot save caller id info. It only shows up when the phone rings and while on the call. There should be a directory key that you can price to scroll through the numbers if everything above is correct. ldtsnj.com

SOURCE: Caller ID Scroll

Your system needs to have a mif-m card and kmm chip installed and all programming setup in order to scroll through the caller id. If this is all setup you can hit the directory button and than use the arrow buttons under the display to scroll. ldtsnj.com

Yes, and depending on your CPU level this may only work on up to 16 extensions.

NEC Electra Elite IPK B64-U20 KSU

I have a PRI and am asking the same question. I do know that you do have to go into programming to set this up. You also have to have a COIB card installed for this to work for standard Direct Inward Dial lines.

Caller id now shows number instead of name (new provider)

This is something you could be walked through with tech support. They would need to know what type of system and what cards are in it, in order to program it. ldtsnj.com

NEC Dterm 80 phones

Caller id would have to be truned on, in system programming, as long as the caller id card is installed. If it works for the corded phones and not the cordless phones than, the analog caller id feature needs to be programmed. check out ldtsnj.com

Would you be able to help me to program the directory button on our NEC Elite phone system so we could scroll back through caller ID for the last 50 calls?

You can pull the card out hot. The KMM chip is IC6 toward the connector at the back of the card. The other requirement, if you have the KMM chip, is that Caller ID be enabled for your MIFM card. It is done through system programming. You can turn it on by these key sequences. Follow this EXACTLY from a display phone (start idle): <Feature>, #0*8974, press <Line 7> button, press <Line 3> button, press *, 4,01, <Transfer><Speaker>. Test again. One other item, MIFM firmware 5.0 is required for 50 call storage. If firmware level is lower, you will only get 10 call storage. If all the above fails, you will need to call a certified NEC technician to check it out.

NEC Electra Professional Level I Upgrade

The NEC Electra Professional Level 1 has a maximum CO line capacity of 8 in any configuration. If you need more outside phone lines, you will need a different system. If you need to limit cost as much as possible, the cheapest avenue would be to upgrade to a used Electra Professional Level II. That way you can still use the same telephone instruments, but ALL cabinet hardware would be different. Also, you can only get to 8 outside lines if you have software level 3.00 or higher by using the COI-C(2A)-10 card. To verify which software version you have, I think you press FNC(3) on sta. 10 ( or the first station in the system). If that doesn't work, let me know, and we can access the system program to verify version number.
