Mini USB port ON FUJI Z35 camera won't work at all

Assuming it's the same port size and most of their cameras you can use any USB Type A Male to Type B Mini 8-pin Male. There are many choices on Amazon.

Can you try a wall plug adapter with usb, can be for another device as long as you plug the usb into it. Try another usb port, you may need to install the software first though. If it will charge via the wall , and not a working port on the pc you need to download and install the software from the manufacturer.

Please check if camera USB PORT HAS THE PROBLEM

Hi, I have a Z35 that wiont turn on I know the battery is good so I tried connecting USB to PC to see what happened---nothing, then I tried gentley pushing the USB at camera end very slowly into connector and about half way in the cais mera flashed up and I coud take pictures. However with the USB pushed full into camera socket the camera went dead again. I know this isnt a solution but it indicates camera will work , Im now lokking at battery comparment connectors to see if thweres a problem.

You will need to check your manual for download instructions not all cameras are the same however, if you have the camera software installed try following this work flow.
First make sure your camera has enough power to complete the download, turn off the camera plug the USB cable into the USB port on the computer then the mini USB on the camera. If you have been turning the camera on this may be part of the problem a lot of cameras use the playback button to transfer pictures from the camera to the computer.

The work flow should be first make sure the camera has enough power to do the transfer from the memory card to the computer turn off the camera. Connect the USB cable to the computer with the computer on. connect the USB cable to the camera mini USB port and turn on the camera. The computer will see this possibly as a new device and then accept it as an external drive or "Mass Storage Device"

Your previous camera wasn't another Z35, was it? Most cameras will not display pictures that were taken with another camera. The old pictures are most likely still on the card. You can plug the card into a card reader and transfer them to a computer.

You can use the mini USB port to USB on the computer, or you can use a card reader connected to the USB port. Windows XP or Windows 7 will recognize either the camera or card as a device, and you can then download your pictures to a folder on your computer.

The same thing has just happened to mine, its awfully frustrating. Did you find out at all how this can be fixed?

Best use Memory Card Readers, F10 is USB 1.1 so moving data is quite slow specially if you take 6MP photos. Just get a XD card reader whihc is USB 2.0
