You can use the default cast feature on your Android phone to stream from Android to Smart TV. Also, there is a free app called Google home app on Android to stream Android to SmartTV using Wifi. The feature required Android 4.0.4(Kitkat) or a later version of Android.

You have to purchase a chromecast compatible app from the app store in order to strem your own video, however some services offer chromecast in the app such as YouTube, Netflix, Pandora, and others. To get chromecast to work with your phone you need the chromecast app
(Free Download) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.chromecast.app
Search Chromecast in the app store to see a list of available apps.
Once you have a compatible app, setup your chromecast by plugging it into your TV. (Both the key itself, and the USB power cable) change your TV input to the input you plugged your chromecast's key into. Make note of the name it gives your chromecast. Once connected to your WiFi and setup, open the chromecast app on your phone or device. It should pop up and ask you to connect to your chromecast. Once connected open a compatible app and click the chromecast streamer. It looks like a rectangle with a WiFi symbol in the lower left corner. Your TV should now show the main page for your app! Whala!
Have fun streaming using your Chromecast!
