LG32LZ55 TV GOING INTO DPM MODE

I have recently connected my computer to my tv through the only DVI socket using the DVI/VGA cable with ease and all works fine but i also have a Virgin HD V+ box which works through a DVI socket also so after a while to keep swapping over the cables got a little tiresome so i bought a 2 way switch - this is where the problem arises i connect a DVI-I to DVI-I cable from TV to switch box and then out of output A i connected a DVI/HDMI adapter with a HDMI cable to my V+ box and then out of output B connect the DVI/VGA cable to the PC - i thought brilliant this will work but no - TV works absolutely fine when in A but when i flick the B switch to go into PC mode the screen goes into DPM MODE - i only know this as a power saving mode but don't know how to rectify it - Please help!!!

An alternative is to just power off TV and unplug DVI cord and Power on TV and plug in DVI cord.

Connect aspire v5-552p to tv

It depends on the ports the computer and the TV have
If both have VGA (blue) use a VGA to VGA cable.
You can also use an S-Video-to-S-Video cable
If both have DVI, use a DVI-toDVI cable.
If both have HDMI use an HDMI-to-HDMI cable.

Other possibilities are combinations of the various modes above VGA-to-DVI, VGA-to-HDMI, VGA-to-S-Video, etc.

Hi Jatinder Kumar ,
Yes you can connect your computer output to lcd tv through dvi-hdmi cable or vga-hdmi cable.
1. Connect to HDMI (DVI) : just plug in HDMI (DVI) out of PC or laptop to HDMI or DVI TV. Than select source from HDMI.
2. Connect to PC : Plug D sub to TV, select PC in.

I hope that will help you.

How do I connect a PC to a LG50PG20 50" HDTV Plama?

You need a VGA cable (15 pin) connected from PC (monitor out) to the PC input on the HDTV (15 pin) this is for the video. For the audio, connect from PC to HDTV, audio cable, either 3.5mm from earphone out on PC to HDTV 3.5mm audio input (next to PC VGA input) and also be sure to set PC screen resolution to compatible output for HDTV like 1024 X 768 or 600 x 800 etc.

Select the PC input on the HDTV using TV remote.

Hope this helps.

Which accessories are a 'most have' for connecting my TV to a desktop pc?

You'll need:
•VGA cable
•S-Video Audio to 3 RCA Type Adapter Cable
•HDMI cable
•DVI cable
Check the connection options on your TV. If your TV has a VGA connection slot, plug the TV into the computer with a VGA cordlike a computer monitor. Connect one end of the VGA cable to the back of the computer and the other end to the TV. Switch between normal TV viewing to displaying your computer on your TV by selecting the proper mode from the remote control, some remotes will mark the proper mode as "VGA" while others will label it "Computer" or "PC."
Check the back of your computer to see if you have an S cable slot. Connect S cable portion of the S-Video Audio to 3 RCA Type Adapter Cable to the computer and plug in the green audio plug to the audio port of the PC. Plug the red white and yellow RCA cables into the matching colors of the RCA slots on the TV. With this method you will need to switch modes from TV to video.
Check the back of the computer and TV for either DVI or HDMI slots. The slots on your computer must match, you cannot connect a DVI to a HDMI. Plug one end of the corresponding cable into the the back of the TV and the other end into the computer. Choose the correct program mode, HDMI or DVI, from the remote to view the computer from the TV.

Can i connect a dvid cable from the monitor to my flat screen tv hdmi to watch videos from my computer? Thank you Martin

the Flat Screen TV if has, a HDMI input, also has VGA Input.

You must choose :HDMI or VGA, if HDMI The VGA board must Have HDMI Connector, and you connect a HDMI cable to the TV.

The HDMI is a digital signal input/output, VGA is Analog Signal. You must have Signal Converter if you Use the 2 signals

Flat Panel Insignia 19

Lets see the cableing..

So you have a mac with a mini-dvi slot, you have a mini-dvi to dvi adapter, and then Dvi to vga adapter which connects to the tv?

The mini-dvi to dvi adapter doesn't have the analog VGA signal your tv needs. If I understood right.

Apple's mini-DVI to DVI-D cable does not carry the analog signal coming from the mini-DVI port on the Apple computer. This means that instead of buying a single mini-DVI cable from Apple and using a cheap DVI-to-VGA adaptor when you need VGA output, you must purchase another mini-DVI cable from Apple.
