Recieving calls when recieving a call theres no contact name shown just CALL but when recieve a text message it shows whos sent it? got contacts in memory card and in phone memory and in sim card but still comes up with CALL when recieving a call and not the person ringing WHY please help

i faced this problem too....please go to contacts -) options-) settings-)

change show contacts of....both sim and phone....add contacts saved to phone memory....

may be virus has come

Try to check your phonebook for double entry (2 names with the same number). Remove at least one.

Take out bettery and reboot. Then call carrier but I believe it is the rebooting that will help.

try putting a 1 then area code then number.
(13215556666) this will also help with contacts names showing up when you rcv a call or text instead of just a number.

u need to set the messege centre number correctly contact ur operator helpline or try deleting the messages in your outbox and saved items.

this is because you have a duplicate contact name in your phone book.. if you have different contact name in your phone book with same number.. only the number will show up...

go to ur message settings and set the phone caller id on and press ok after some time when any message come from ur contact numbers it will show or it is unkonwn number means it will not shown

On every phone there are settings that can stop you sending texts. However all phones should still receive texts even if all the settings were changed. As the text message is directed to you mobile number you should still be receiving?
When you compose your text and select contact does the phone move them to the out/sent box?
Settings to check for sending are your 'message centre number' (your network provider can supply and they are normally different for pay monthly and pay & go) 'Message sent as' should be 'text' (not fax or email etc).
Text problems are common where people change or delete digits from the message centre number by mistake.
If you cannot receive texts i would recommend speaking to your provider for help as it may be your account details at their end? (beyond your control). Hope that helps?
