Good Morning Rhonda, this is JK. I understand that your dishwasher will not perform on the wash cycle. From what you described, it sounds as though you may need to replace the timer. This would be the brain behind the dial. Hope this helps!

Model 9156200 top loading washing machine

the lid switch may be loose or broken it happens to me it was washing but never rinse i found out that it was a loose switch this switch prevents the rinse cycle from working with the lid open because of the high speed rinse ,some machines dont work at all, a loose switch makes the machine think the lid is open even if it is closed.good luck.

Water fills in, but wash cycle won't start. spin cycle works, changed motor still won't work

Its either in the lid switch or timer. Examine the lid switch. Try starting the wash cycle and press in on lid switch to make sure it activates. If the lid switch is good and you dont hear the motor trying to activate during wash than its in the timer. Does the timer advance? Please comment me back If you need further assistance.

Hi, The washing machine that I have has stopped working during a washing cycle and refuses to come back on. This was during a large wash cycle.

first place we start is checking the lid switch to make sure its working slowly lift tub lid lower slow and you should here a click if not its snapped if yes have it checked to see if blown. appart from that it would be an internal fault the capacitors in these machines dont last too long

Washing machine off balance in one cycle

Make sure washer is on a level surface and all four feet adjusted properly. A slight forward lean may help with this problem as the out of balance switch is at the rear.
