SOURCE: paper stuck in roller

Dear Navila,

Please ensure that you have check that there is no paper inside the toner and drum area accessible from the front.
Also check that there is no paper stuck below the bottom paper tray which you need to take out the paper tray.

Last you need check the rear cover for any paper visible.
If the problem persist you need to clean up the fuser assembly.

To take it our, you need to do the following:-
1) remove the rear cover
2) remove the side cover
3) remove the top cover
4) remove the black paper guide at the back of the printer
5) remove the white paper guide at the top of the fuser assembly.
6) remove the fuser assembly (2 screws) and the cables white cable on one side and grey cable attaching to the other side of the fuser assembly.
7) Clean the fuser assembly.
8) reinstalled them.

Taking out the paper guide cover is tricky since you need to take them out at a certain angle.

SOURCE: paper jam!!

Please perform the below steps.

1. Switch off the printer and disconnect the power supply. Allow any residual charge inside the all-in-one printer to dissipate before putting your hands or any metal tools inside the chassis.

2.
Pin down the exact location of the jam. The 3 hot spots for a jam are before a sheet completely leaves the paper tray, anywhere between the feed tray and print carriage or between the print carriage and output tray.

3.
Take off the front paper tray if the sheet jammed while still in the front area of the printer. If here, you should be able to see most of the paper.

4.
Pull the sheet with both hands and steady pressure. Do not tug as you might rip the paper, leaving a piece deeper inside the machine.

5.
Open the back panel to reach paper jammed between the feed-tray area and print carriage. Carefully remove the jammed paper.
put the cables back and switch on

SOURCE: Paper Jam Light on still

The print head is jamed too...
some wheel are scaled, there might be also a transparent scled band who help the print head.
If one of those was forced, you can replace the printer.
open it and check also if it's clean, this band might be dirty, cleaning with a wet rug (water) good luck.

SOURCE: Brother MFC 7420. New Brother Toner, New Drum,

Check whether the fuser rollers are free turning. If the paper is stopped at the ejection roller, the ejection roller needs to be replaced.

Testimonial: "Good start. I cleaned machine and all rollers, including fuser roller, to eliminate those as being the cause. Found problem elsewhere. "

Add showing jam paper while start copier

Hello Dear,

This means that paper is stuck inside the roller.
  • Please switch off the copier, open the panel where paper goes inside and try to remove the paper manually.
  • Make sure no paper pieces are left inside.
  • Once done, start it again and load paper slowly so that it does not get stuck.
Happy Printing!

I have an unresolved paper jam, i have the epson workforce 520.

If you do not have an actual paper jam (no paper is stuck in it), then you merely need to clean the inside as there may be a small piece or some light debris (dirt) that is triggering the sensor. You can do this by using an air can and blowing out as much of the inside on the rollers. Try to print something, or run a piece of paper through (manually if possible) to get the rollers to roll over and use the air can again.
Also, if you have the manual - try and locate a "reset" button. If there is not one - turn the printer on - press and hold the on/off switch until you see all the lights on the printer come on and/or start flashing. Once this happens, press the on/off button once - until the printer shuts off. Restart the printer again and see if the indicator for paper jam comes on again.
Please let me know if you need further assistance.

I had a paper Jam and know printer error 5100 mesage is coming up, I turned off the printer for 5 min but when I turn it back on it make a turn nois and then a screeching noise then stop.

Sometimes when you get a paper-jam and remove the sheet, there can be little pieces of paper still stuck in the machine. This will cause your printer to do exactly what you are describing. Also remember that when removing a paper jam, use caution and care when removing the paper. To much force can damage the rollers and small gears inside your machine.
I hope this assists you,

There's a paper jam in OKI B2400n printer. the manual says to take out the ink cartridge and the jammed paper could be pulled out. Well, the paper is tight and I can't pull it out. What can I loosen or...

You will have to pull hard and evenly to remove the paper. Often, the toner has built up on the fuser rollers, and the paper is actually stuck to the rollers. In that case, you will not be able to get all the paper out, it won't do you any good to remove the paper anyway, because the paper will just jam and stick again. Those rollers will need to be replaced. That is a pretty big, technical job.

242.13 paper jam error We cannot find any paper jammed in the paper

hello,

The paper jam error 242.13 can be caused by an actual paper jam in the printer but since you did not find any paper the next thing would be pickup rollers. The pickup rollers can become worn and if they don't grap the paper right it will not more from the tray. There is a sensor that tells the printer that the paper exiting the paper tray and to start the printing. If this sensor does not detect paper when it should be there it gives a "paper jam" error thinking the paper is jammed. Look at the top page of paper for 1 or 2 light gray marks. If you see them then the rollers are the problem. You can see the rollers if you turn the printer on its side and remove the paper tray. To test the pickup rollers you can take off the rubber rollers( they look like white rubber band) from the wheel and turn them inside out, this will work as a temp fix untill you can get them replaced. If you need them replaced we can provide them or you can call a local repair show. I hope this helps, if so please rate my solution.

Paper jam

Mine was doing that too. Here's what worked for me... try getting a Q-tip wet with alcohol. Rub all of your rollers then let them dry before trying to print again. A friend told me that this is a sign that the rollers are wearing out and that it will be cheaper to get a new printer than to fix this issue. Eventually, that's what we'll have to do. In the meantime, try the alcohol.
