Most likely NOT your phone system (anonymous)
Neither is it likely accidental...
What it sounds like you are getting is a "
ring splash"
It is a token ring to let you know a call was forwarded...
My best suggestion would be to call YOUR OWN
number and find out who has been getting your call...
Or at least what kind of TREATMENT your callers have been getting...
Since this is a
GLOBAL SITE... I would suggest you consult
your service PROVIDER.. for the appropriate enable & cancel
CALL FORWARDING.
BELL-SYSTEM Codes to
invoke and
cancel
Codes: *
72 and
*73: respectively
Forward... *72 = ("star, seven, two")
*72 (wait a second dial tone) dial tone + (forward number)...
If the call is answered the
FORWARD is complete...
(confirmation)
Else
Repeat the SAME dialing PROCESS
(
OK: indicated by
two stutter dial tones followed by dial tone).
((confirmation)).
Cancel FORWARD...
*73: To CANCEL forwarding... *73 = ("star, seven, three")
(again OK... Success is indicated by
two stutter dial tones followed by dial tone (yet another confirmation))...
Hope this helps...
