What does the printer do when you turn it on? cli-8m

lose connection or cable broken. if lose then slightly press usb cable at flat side and try again. if broken it is better to replace.
in some cases you have to use original usb cable. other wise there is no connectivity.

my print out is many shade.how can i do.i have adjustment program,how can i use it for my problem.please
