Only high speed forward and reverse work. None of the other speeds work. I have installed a new rotary switch with the same results. I supect I have a problem in the motor fields but can't find a wiring diagram that shows how and where the four wires going to the motor housing are connected in the motor housing. The correct resistance measurement between the wires would be helpful.
Hi I brought a new min Kota endura max 55 ,I hooked it up to my 12 volt battery turned it on forward it runs ok put in reverse it's ok backin forwards ok then back in reverse nothing, any suggestions ty rich klein
The coil pack is likely bad especially since you changed the switch. call minkota and get the bench tast info (very simple) and then order and replace the coil pack about 26 dollars. be very careful how you put the magnet assembly back together and mark the position of the case on the outside before disassembly. order a new seal kit and use locktite on the shaft again when reassemling to seal the shaft tube for water. dont run motor uout of the water much as it uses the water to cool the shaft and you can damage the seals. good luck.
