click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll down cd dvd rom drives if you see a yellow question mark? right click to update driver
if your computer came with a motherboard disk the drivers could be on it

you dont need a driver for DVD-ROM it will automatically appear to your screen.. you just need a NERO if your DVD rom has a quality to burn a cd.. or dvd

is a eject button defective, needs to be replaced. is normaly change dvd drive.

There would be nothing wrong with the DVD-ROM, your PC is trying to open a prog that is not compatable. Are there no other clues as to what it may be??

I believe that there are two heads on for CD and one for DVD I think that maybe one of your read/write heads is faulty try and parse the DVD using DVD Shrink if this loads the DVD then your head is working

does your pc work if you try a diffrent drive?

i cant get you. cd/dvd is not working or cd/dvd rom drive is not working ? To work cd/dvd rom drive properly, Make sure the Jumper settings of the drive is set to slave or else remove all the jumpers from the cd/dvd rom drive, it automatically sets to slave. Check the power cable and the FRC(flat ribbon cable) of the cd/dvd rom drive. Hopefully it should work. Thank you.
