I would suggest you check the manual of the kyocera 1815 copier. this should be stated clearly on the user manual. so check the user manual for the information as regards this.

Typicaly the scanner optics would need to be cleaned. Or it could be a scan lamp failure. A Kyocera dealer could help you with this.

You have a bad board in the printer it must be replaced.

I have The Km C2520 with the same C6020 code. Is the solution the same?

it's the the expansion card on the main board in the middle, has a yellow circular cmos battery. Either its faulty or popped out during moving the machine. if faulty, replace.
