Sound prob in pc - Compaq Presario M2000 Notebook

first time check speaker option
next,change speaker then your sound problem solved

turn off ur computer
reove MB CCMOS battery for 30sec
install again and restart
prob may be solve

if it doesn''t count beep sounds
prob may be RAM or MB

Im not familiar with Toshiba products or keyboard design but if its not supposed to "beep" the the underneath of one of the keys could be sticking or malfunctioning.In which case try to dismantle and clean in a weak detergent solution and reassamble ,dont force any keys or they will break

Go to Dell and download/install the latest audio Chipset for your model..

If that doesn`t do it please tell give more info about your operating system so that i can guide u further..

Also please double check if the sound is not Muted anywhere.. that is usually the issue

sounds like you may have a bug. In most cases an anti virus should fix the prob. However, some will not. in this case you can reload windows and it will fix the prob. Do a full install, not a repair. (formatting the hard drive)

Try going into the device manager then scrolling down to the bottom where it says sound, video and game controllers and see if your sound card is listed? If it is right click and select remove. Once removed reboot the PC and the sound drivers should automatically reload to factory settings. If they dont and the sound card is not detected then it may be a problem with the card itself. Might need replacing.
