After reinstalling WinXP it could not boot

My Intel Dot Station could not boot the operating system (XP). I reinstall the OS but it does not help.

Get a win98 setup cd, boot from cd/dvd-drive not executing setup but starting computer with cd-rom support, at dos prompt enter: fdisk and remove all drives, partitons until hd is blank,

then go through xp-setup again, reboot: that might do...

You will need a WinXP CD....
insert the CD and re-boot...
if boot seq is not set to boot from CD change it
restart PC...immediatly press either (F1, F2, Del) key to got to BIOS menu....
look for boot seq,
change the 1st boot dev to CD/DVd rom
save and exit BIOS menu
re-boot....
let the PC boot from CD
follow on screen inst...to reapir the OS or reinstall OS

you have to make run windows xp setup file from your pen drive or external dvd/rw.then only you can re installl os for your dot station.

No display only a dot at left side top

I assume that you can access the BIOS. In that case that dot is there to tell you that the BIOS failed to load the OS - either the Master boot record is corrupted (fix it by booting from the windows XP CD, press the "R" key in the setup, select your OS and enter the administrator password, type the command: FIXMBR  at the input prompt and confirm the next question ) or the entire OS is corrupted (reinstall).

Please reformat your hard disk, make sure to delete all the files and also the partition. Then try to re-install again the operating system.

Winxp cannot boot - missing files message

probably corrupted operating system files. i'd suggest doing a fresh reinstall of windows xp. if the problem continues then get a new hard drive.

How can i operate intel dot station

Just use a usb key board or use ps2 keyboard by usb to ps2 convertor and open bios function by F2 key and change boot option to usb then use an external cd drive and insert windowsXp cd and follow intruction of installing windows Some notes on changing linux system to windows is here:
