When ear piece is not in my ear, you can not hear the phone ring is because the ringer of the phone that makes you know when there is an incoming call on your cell phone or a message alert tone on your cell phone is damaged and does not work and makes sound to notify you .

Hi, when a phone has a ringer volume problem, is either the ringer of the phone is weak and you can't hear when someone calls you or the volume of the ringer is yet at a very low level in sound.

You will need to check the volume settings of the phone if the volume is low so you can increase it to a high level.

ive had customers with same issue...try there, go to options, themes, press the app menu key and click on reset default theme and remove the battery for one full minute...tested if it doesnt work it might be the speaker thats stoped working

go to profiles and change and enable the tone for ringtones

yes it is an hardware problem,you need to replace the ringer and the speaker to enable you to hear music and ringer to work back
