If your LCD TV or monitor has stopped working, or is displaying one of the following symptoms, then it's a candidate for some new capacitors
- Flickering screen
- Screen image disappears after several seconds
- Dim screen
- Slow start
- Power LED on, but no picture
- Unusual colors and/or lines
The primary cause of LCD TV and monitor failure is caused by faulty capacitors. You can examine the capacitors in your LCD TV or monitor and actually see if they are bad.
If they appear bulged on top, then they need to be replaced.
New capacitors will solve a host of problems in LCD monitors and TV's and will extend the life of your monitor or TV by several years.
Check the cables, connectors and connections.
Take it to a repair shop.
SOURCE: No POWER
How many times does the POWER led flash per second? (Dont worry about the OPC).
1x (steady constant blink) = Lamps or inverters
2x = Power Supply
3x = Main Unit
If i am reading it correctly, looks like the POWER led is flashing 2x, which means it is a power supply failure. Either way, your TV needs to have a board replaced, there isn't anything you can do to fix it yourself. Try locating your local sharp authorized service center to repair your TV (1-800-237-4277)

I can tell you 100% that the problem that you are having will be a service issue. I can also tell you that your limited warranty covers in home service from sharp. Give them a call 1-87-SEE AQUOS(the advantage line that will get you through much quicker). or the 1-800-BE-SHARP and let them set you up for service, sharp will take care of that as long as the purchase date of your tv was within 1 year. If you dont want to go through that, I suggest taking the tv back to where you got it from if they will accept it because unfortunately, this problem can ONLY be resolved through service. good luck & keep me posted

From the information you have provided failed capacitors in the power supply is likely causing the problem. The safety circuitry shuts the TV set down when it detects a problem. This model of TV has over 2,000 parts which include millions of transistors inside the integrated circuits. The capacitors will change value, leak and become defective. Resistors will change value and burn. Integrated circuits and transistors can go bad. This can cause other components to become defective, which can have a domino effect and cause other parts to fail. Replacing one defective part may make the TV operate for a short time but the part will fail again since if the parts that caused the failure to begin with are not replaced. The only way to know for sure what is causing the problem, which parts that are no longer within factory specs and for proper repair all the electronics must be diagnosed by someone with the correct electronic test equipment and the skills to use the test equipment. The repair should cost about $250 if carried into a TV repair shop. A small TV repair shop will often charge less than a large repair facility.
