The oven of GE Profile range simply stopped igniting

Sorry, usually that is a bad control board. It looks like they are available at www.appliancepartspros.com for $121.50 You'll have to decide if it is worth fixing.

Hello, Yes this is going to be the bake igniter. If you remove the lower panel in the oven you will see the bake igniter. It may still be working when you switch on the oven but it is not getting up to the correct temp in order to ignite the gas. Replace the igniter and you will be all set. it seems the burner in the oven is clogged, by grease, carbon or corrosion, it may need replacing, specialy if this is an older unit

Hi I have a older GE that the oven won't light. It is a gas range that is electric ignited. The top burners do work but the oven will not light. Is it pricey to have this fixed?

REmove bottom panel from stove. shut gas off for at LEAST 5 min. Longer is better. Then placel open flame above gas nozzle, slowly turn to ignite posiiton. After it is lit, wait 30 seconds and turn to on positon.
If by chance this model doens't have a knob for this, then turn gas valve off for 5 min, let fumes evaporate, light flame, place over nozzle, turn gas on.replace bottom oven panel slowly.

If you can smell the gas when you turn on the oven, it may be on a separate igniter that has gone bad. I would check this first. If you are not getting gas to the oven, there is possibly an issue with the supply line.
