Fires and getting fuel but wont run - Husqvarna 28cc Gas Line Trimmer

I have 1993 chevy 4.3 pickup that about every three years does the same thing it was the fuel pump relay located on passenger side of firewall under a plastic flap. I went to parts store told them my vehicle and got relay took 5 minutes runs fine again Semper Fi!

Fuel pump, check fuel pressure. Check for fuel smell out the back when cranking.

• If it starts, it's firing. If you mean it starts and then dies, that's different. Three things are needed for operation: fuel, spark, and air. You have spark and air or it wouldn't start. You have some fuel, but you run out in the carbs and then the engine dies. I suggest a fuel problem. I'd start by looking at a fuel filter.

is fuel getting to carb, often fuel tap blocks or jets get blocked when having run out of fuel

most likely fuel pump is out , It could be not pumping hard enough to get through the injectors. good luck

Check fuel line that goes from exhaust pipe to fuel tank. Make sure there are no leaks. With fuel in the tank remove the line from the exhaust pipe and blow in it. The fuel in the tank should move and bubble.

If you are getting "fire at the plugs", then it is probably a fuel delivery problem. It is very common for the fuel pump to fail in these vehicles, particularly if the truck is run below 1/4 tank of fuel very long. Slide under the truck at the tank and have someone turn on the key. if you don't hear a humming noise then your pump is not running. Check fuses, fuel pump relay, and sending terminals for bad connections. Replace the pump assembly.

the car wont start? do you mean the engine wont turn over or it wont fire or run? if the car does not run but it turn over, check the basic..see if you have sparks and fuel, then check all your fuse pertaining to engine and ignition. the car need to have both thing in order for the engine to run. If you getting both sparks and fuel you engine may have jump time especially with older car with high miles, it the sign timing belt getting worn, you don't want it to break. if you don't get fire from spark plug then you may have a bad coil,distubutor,rotor or timing sensor. if you get no fuel, fuse blown, bad fuel pump relay or fuel pump it self. hope that help some ..good luck

Fuel pump may be getting weak. If pressure is not high enough the injectors wont open.

What about the fuel filter????? Have you changed it out??? If you can spary something like a started fluid, that means it is a fuel problem. My last check, it has to be above 50-psi on the fuel pressure to make it run right. I had 35psi, but whould not get over 30mph or down hill maybe 45mph. Check both filter & pressure, but check pressure with a New fule filter!!!!
