I connected the microphone on my computer and the system rec.ognized the microphone but I don't know how to use it with the computer to bring out sound

The thing is that the Samson C01U was not designed for live applications. Your solution, if you like delayed sound, is to use Virtual Audio Cable. Otherwise, I would get either a Samson GTrack, or invest in a cheap but functional mixer with a good mic. If you want to record however, you go into your audio recording settings and select the C01U as the recording mic. If you record and hear little sound, go into sound manager... Click on properties and select on Samson C01U. A one channel volume control will pop out. change the volume and record. BTW, a good audio program is Audacity... It's free. I hope that I have helped you...

I use the samson C01U usb microphone on my macbook pro for almost 4 years. Now I recently updated to mac os 10.6.6 (latest update) and Samson soft pre won't start up anymore. I can't configure the mic...

1. Try reinstalling the softpre software.
2. Read through their FAQ at: http://samsontech.com/products/productFAQs.cfm?prodID=1810&brandID=2
3. Contact samson directly at [email protected] with your problem.
Good luck!

Is the position of my CO3 Samson Mic. in the right place

exactly how did you place your mic? Because in the picture you are showing there are placed two or three mics. The best sound quality does not always depend on the up or down position of your mic. It has a lot to with the acoustics of the room you are recording in, the distance you vocalist is standing and even of you use a windscreen or a reflection wall. The best advice is clap you hands a few times in your room and make sure the clap turns dead. If you clap go's silently dead, without hitting any walls or windows that reflect the sound, than you will have a good position to record.
