Here's a video on how I fixed my emachines boot problem. Almost anything can get in the way of your computer booting. Software, hard drive, RAM, motherboard, processor, etc. Below the video, I attached a link to a tip I made about computer crashes. Computer Crashes and Electrolytic Capacitors

EMachines eMD620 suddenly shutdown and not boot anymore

When this happened was the laptop overly hot? If the laptop's head got too high it could have shutdown to protect itself. It wouldn't boot until the heat had disparate. Sit you laptop aside for about 30 minutes and see if it will boot then. If it does you might want to check out a cool mat.

Emachine t6216 will not boot, fans stay on high and thats it. I do not hear hard drive spinning. It shut down a couple times while in use before this and came back on. also, it did not boot before and did...

hi Rpbarnhart.
this could be a few things wrong here.
the first thing i would get checked is the power supply.

Most likely either Motherboard or the CPU. Does this have a graphics card or built-in.
Standard procedure is to:
Clear the CMOS - chk manual for procedure.
Disconnect all cables from all drives and test.
Pull RAM and try with one module at a time in slot 1. Then try 1 in what might be slot 3, the 1st slot of second pair of slots.

Before giving up, I'd pull all the drive cables at once. Even carefully mark the front case wiring and pull everything but power switch if you can. You really want to remove all complications that might be an issue. Take it down to PSU, motherboard power, cpu fan and RAM.
Ok, there is Good news, and bad news. FIRST the bad news. You are not getting any power to the CPU. Fans and lights indicate motherboard power, BUT, power supplies ALSO provide power straight to the CPU, and if the CPU is not getting powered properly, it will not function.
or you could check these links out if the above does not work for you.

My emachines t3604 starts up and all the fans are running but doesnt boot up and keyboard and monitor are not working. Replaced the ram but that doesnt work any ideas.

Try downloading puppylinux, burn it onto a cd then boot from the cd, if everything works fine, then you need to reinstall windows.

I have a T3626 emachine that I replaced the drive.

check all your ground screws on the motherboard. If that doesn't work try booting it up with out the hard drive. if that doesn't work, pop out the BIOS battery and unplug your computer, let it sit for about a min. and put the battery back in and restart.

Cant boot my emachine 2984

Did you check the CMOS battery and the CPU fan. Those are two things that if aren't working the way they should be, then some computers will not boot up. Try this first then post a response if you still can't get it working.

Power pack fan not booting but there is power on motherboard

Do you mean the power supply fan or the processor fan? Of the assemblies in a desktop, the power supply is the least reliable and the internal fan the most unreliable part. Since a failed fan can allow other parts of the supply to degrade, I recommend replacing the supply, not just the fan.
In eMachines, these are standard form factor (ATX) supplies so you would only need to order the same or higher power rating to have it compatible with your case.
