Try www.tripodquickrelease.com They have that exact model listed and the plate sells for $16.99
SOURCE: lost camera mount
The original part is no longer available from Vivitar. A nearly exact substitute can be found at http://www.tripodquickrelease.com/Vivitar_Quick_Releases.htm
SOURCE: I bought a used camera tripod that does not fit my camera
Your tripod is a K-Mart brand item and it will fit any camera but it's clearly missing the quick-release foot which most tripods have these days. This part screws to the bottom of the camera and enables the camera to be quickly attached and removed from the tripod.
Unfortunately there is no standard foot shared between manufacturers and most tripod manufacturers don't even have a standard design foot which fits all models in their range.
You can still order a replacement foot from:-
http://tripodquickrelease.com/Focal_Quick_Releases.htm
But at US$18.99 it may be cheaper to buy a new tripod!
I hope that you appreciate the time which I've taken to research and answer your question and ask only that you return the favour by rating my answer.

SOURCE: how is the camera mounted on the tripod? I do not
Hello,
Cameras have a threaded hole underneath. See this photo:
Tripods have a threaded screw with a large thumb wheel to lock it in place. See this photo.
That's all there is to it. Good luck.
Thanks for using Fixya.

it is a quick release plate. there is usually a button or lever to release the plate. you then screw the plate into the bottom of your camera or camcorder and mount the plate back onto the tripod. you can leave the plate on your camera when you store it to allow for faster setup.
