Is the red light flashing if so count the #of flashes it shows consecutively.then Google that #of flashes on that model you will get your answers. If just solid red you may have an issue in the board or compressor
if you turn the freezer off for some time then on again the red light has to come on as an indicator for high temperature it goes off by itself when the freezer attains the required temperature according to the thermostat settings ,that is the lower the settings the faster the red light goes off. the orange light indicates super cooling and the green light indicates power supply.if you turn the two lights off and the freezer still works without the green light on that means that the bulb for the green light is faulty and you don,t need to worry
sounds like compressor has failed to start and overload is triggered(red light) it could be start capacitor fault or overload itself faulty . If both of these items ok and compressor has power to it then compressor will require replacing.when you switch of refrigeration equipement the oil in the system will drain down to the lowest point and thats normally compressor and if its filled up the suction side of compressor it will cause compressor to lock up (hydraulic)
Pretty sure that the slide is for winter and summer operation, you are rite, the 3 position is the cold level and the 3 lights (Yellow, Red, Green). the Yellow indicates a caution,"" not at temp or faulty""the Red indicates the unit is active and the Green indicates at temp and operating correct. This unit is old and not much information is available however I hope from my experience, that will help you, any further problems call Russ on 08 95230552.

lets see if i can help you out here, okay . Red is your hot power wire, Green is the ground which is screwed to mounting plate, black is negative, meaning no power.... connect your wires by color Red to Red , Black to Black , And if there is a green coming from the ceiling connect to mounting plate of fixture or vise versa. Remember to use eletrical scew caps, on all connections and do not leave any wires uncovered. Basically all your doing is a seperation of a wire from wires as you seperate a wire cap it off. then move to the next set and do the same. red to red black to black green to mounting plate . YOU WIL NOT BLOW ANYTHING UP IF THERE IS A WRONG CONNECTION, if all wires are of color follow these steps, if no color switch one wire try switch and vise versa YOU can do it
I cannot find any manual or information on the 3 lights. I would assume that the green light means everything is OK, the red means current problem, and the amber means manual defrost is due.
Sorry, this is the best I can do.
Later.
