I have the exact same problem. I'm starting to think there is something really wrong with this machine. I have had it for over 2 months now..and have yet been able to finish a project without it being ruined. It sews fine..but the embroidery just does not work. My aunt and cousin both have one..and they too have the same problem..

What kind of thread are you using? When I had this same problem I noticed If I did not have Bobbin thread in the bottom or embroidery thread of the same weight in the bottom it would do this.

Brother 780D will not feed thread through machine.

It is very important to have the bobbin case and the top tension both right. If the thread is getting stuck there is a problem. Always thread the top with the foot up. While threading make small pulls to make sure there isn't any places getting jammed. I've attached a rule document to help you to adjust the tension of the top and bottom.

Why does thread gather in bobbin area and jam machine

Completely unthread the top and bobbin threads. Clean any lint build up out of the bobbin race assembly using the little brush and some canned air. Check that the needle is inserted correctly...with the flat side towards the back. Then carefully rethread the top and the bobbin threads. Make sure the bobbin is inserted correctly...if it's backwards the machine won't sew properly.

How can I free up the thread take up lever whcih is seized in my brother bc2100 sewing machine?

Cut the jammed thread away, carefully. It may only need the thread path cleaned of all loose thread bits after you cut off what's gotten jammed up on the lever.

Messages about safe device activated & press the needle position button

The noise is because the machine is trying to raise or lower a needle and can't move. Several things to check. Did the needle break and jam in the bottom thread? Is the needle bent or jam? Did the thread jam in the bobbin area? I had a 'knot' of thread build up on the bottom and it hooked itself into the metal clip on the bobbin so that the needle couldn't raise. If thread jams in the bottom carefully cut the threads until you can free the hoop and material. Then check to make sure all pieces of thread and fuzz has been removed in the bobbin case. If it happens again check to see if the bobbin case or the throat plate is scratched or bent. If you are stitching Free Standing Lace on this machine or a piece with over 20,000 stitches I recommend starting with a new full bobbin and a new needle. As you get toward the bottom of the bobbin, thread seems to have a high likelihood of tangling or looping.

While embroidering the top thread gets wound around the bobbin and makes a nest on the bottom

have you tried changing the needle
rethread the machine top & bobbin
when embroidering make sure it good quality thread
clean under the needle plate & in the bobbin area for loose threads & lint
make sure the thread your using it not knotty
make sure the tension is set for the thread & needle & fabric your using
make sure the thread has not come off the thread take up lever

My machine is jammed, the wheel wont turn anymore - how do i get in there to clean it out?

if the needle broke into where the bobbin area is
you may have to try pulling the fabric out of the bobbin area or cutting the fabric loose
the machine needs to be serviced because the jam may have put it out of time

Thread tangles under throat plate while embroidering

Could the little hook that is stuck over the bobbin area be the thread cutter? My thread cutter gets stuck there and I have to turn my machine off and then try to use the cutter to reset it to its "resting" position.

Thread adjustment

Sounds like the bobbin tension is loose. Look at this website on their "repair" page where it explains how to adjust the bottom(bobbin) tension.

Embroidery Problem with my disney

Check your bobbin case. Thread the bobbin through your bobbin case while holding it in your left hand. Pull the thread with your right hand and feel if there is any resistance. If not, you need to adjust the tension on the bobbincase. Also check if a piece of thread or fluff did not get stuck between the tension blades on the bobbin case. If you are not sure how to adjust the tension on the bobbin case, ask your dealer to do it.
