If the streaks are straight lines, there might be dirty rollers, scratches on the imaging drum or fuser roller. Fuzzy lines or gray areas are usually loose toner inside the printer or dirt/dust. Clean the inside of the printer. Lines that are always in the same place on the sheet will give you a clue where to look. Since the unit scans a page and prints from the scanned image, any problems with the scanner (dust or scratches) will be reproduced on every copy.

Run the printers maintenance software and run the align print head option and the run the clean print head option and check again and see if the streaking is still occurring.

How do i get rid of streaks on copy. There are 3 black streaks on each copy. I have a xerox 420dc

Print heads need deep cleaning. If not ink jet, then the drum is damaged (scratched) and needs to be replaced to eliminate the bogus lines.

Hi, My Canon 3245 Imagerunner is streaking.

Hello,
First, the streaks appears when copy from glass or adf, when printing or all?

Solution #1:
How many copies did you do from last drum changing? if over 80 000 copies, replace the drum unit.
-in case that streaks appears when copy and print

Solution #2:
If the streaks appears only if you copy from adf or glass, clean the glass and dry it out. Both glasses, narrow on left side beneath the adf/cover and glass for copy of original.

Solution #3:
If the streaks are wide and solid, with possible toner left overs, you need to replace fixing film.

Hope that helps!

Have a canon c130.changed toner and still getting dark streaks on copies. Have cleaned all I could find inside still dark streaks

Try doing a "stop test." You would induce a jam before the paper reaches the fuser.

Just open a cover while printing and hopefully some image has been transferred to the paper. If the defect exists already then the laser unit, or document scanner may be causing it.

If that eliminates the dark streak, then obviously the fuser FG6-3720-000 should be changed.

Black streaks on copy

This can be anything from something on the glass to charge corona dirty, laser dirty, drum or blade or fuser rollers need to be replaced. For the average person, the best you can do yourself is to make sure glass is clean. Question..... do you get this line if you're printing also? If yes then that would eliminate the glass and has to be something inside. If no, then look very carefully at the glass and long skinny glass on top, if it has that, for white out or something on the glass. Sometimes you won't even see spot unless you look at just the right angle. Good luck. Please rate this if it helps.

Black vertical lines in copies

You need to clean the glass. Open up the feeder and you have a large piece of glass for scanning and to the left a smaller piece of glass that it uses to scan from the feeder. Clean this smaller piece of glass; even the slightest smudge can leave a black streak.

Clarification

ok so if the copy is streaking of the glass then it is more than likley the drum you can also try printing a report add functions report settings select a report then ok if the report comers out with streaks you eliminate all optics problems then it is most liklly drum. if the toner is smearing and not fusing to the paper it could be the fuser
