3 straight boards have had a problem with the Bank ^UP button just not working. which means I cant turn On/Off mode on, and I can't switch off any effects once they are on, VERY SICK OF IT, i found that pulling the pedal itself out and pulling up on the circuit board fixed it for a while. but now its gone back to none functional. the warranty always ran out and after the second one i didnt care to send in the warranty. any tips?
Okay. (I've experienced this myself). There is a small On/Off button on the circuit board below the stomp pedal. You have to open the unit to change this out. if you have any experience soldering this will be no problem. Now the button you de-solder, take with you to any local radio shack and match it up. check for number of pins that go in the circuit board and height of the push button. (i had to super glue a small piece of rubber to mine so it would reach the stomp pedal). and just replace it with that. Your problems will be resolved. and note these buttons go out frequently depending on the use. its most annoying. Good luck!

Yes there's a way. Use Registration Memory (I shorten it to: RM) ..
RM have 8 banks and 4 bank numbers. For changing banks, press BANK several times. Example :
choose tone (eg:500)
press BANK where you want to store. (eg:1)
while holding down STORE button, press registration number where you want to store (eg:3) Release store button. Finish.
Next :
choose tone (eg:038)
press BANK where you want to store. (eg:1)
while holding down STORE button, press registration number where you want to store (eg:4) Release store button. Finish.
Anytime you press RM bank 1 number 3 (one key), the sound is 500
Anytime you press RM bank 1 number 4 (one key), the sound is 038.
Notes:
RM not only can save tone, but can store style, overall setting live performance, etc.
RM functions are disabled while you are using the SMF player, song memory or demo.
RM are also disabled while you are using the floppy disk drive.
Consider reading the Manual for this amp, it explains how to reset to factory with the VFS5 footpedal. Or with the power off ..hold down CH1 & CH4 then turn power on.. when the Bank & Channel leds start blinking.. then release the Channel buttons. Next press the Tap switch ... the bank & channel leds will change from blinking to lit. with in a few seconds it will enter preset mode.
2) While pressing the [VOICE] button, press and hold the [BANK D] button, then the [8] button. The SY77 will run the INITIAL TEST routine and display the Test Program Menu.
3) Press the [COPY] button. The SY77 will execute Test 48 'Factory Settings', automatically exit the test mode, and then return to play mode.
You can try this. STEP 1: Set Program protect and Combi Protect to OFF. - GLOBAL - Using PAGE+ or PAGE-, find untill the display show "3A-MEMORY PROTECT". Set the parameter to OFF by using YES or NO button. STEP 2: Data Load. - GLOBAL. - Using PAGE+ or PAGE-, find untill the display show "05A-PRESET DATA". Change ALL to PRG (your case). Use Left/Right Arrow button to moving cursor. Choose "PRE-a" (your case). Move cursor to "OK?". Press YES when "OK" blinking for confirm. Exit (Go to PROG button).
I have seen bad solder of the pins of the connector on the board with the LED's. Reflow the solder and verify there are no solder bridges. ALSO verify that the circuit traces near these pins have not been lifted or broken.
Hi, befarms. The line 6 FBV Express allows you to select the A B C D in the existing/current bank. You will not be able to change the current bank, disable or enable the effects. What you can do is, save the preset on the bank number that you desire by holding down the channel button on your amp whether it is A B C or D. Then when the button flashes, you can reinsert or rename the preset and save it to the channel(or bank) that you wish for by scrolling to the bank number and pushing the button on the amp (A B Cor D). Therefore, you will be able to save your personal setting to a specific bank and channel.
First, check your volume. Try turning it up the whole way. If that doesn't work, then try moving the slider switch to normal, and playing. Also, try using the keyboard in Song Bank mode. If you have a Sustain Pedal, make sure it's in the accessory port and not the Headphone port. If none of this works, then you may have blown a speaker. Parts are cheap from Casio ($13.00) and are relatively easy to put in yourself.
Take a close look at where the power source adapter plugs in, there should be something written which will indicate the voltage requirements, write them down, for example it might indicate +plus or minus 12 volts DC at 400 Milliamps. Take the info you write down to Radio Shack and they should be able to sell you a universal power adapter that will work. You should have a power on-off switch some where on the unit.
