In the Samsung wd0754w8e "HE2" can mean that one of the two thermostats mounted in the top manifold (wired to the active and neutral wires of the element) is open circuit. One is resettable, the other is not and will require replacement if it measures open circuit at normal ambient temperatures. Both thermostats have been very problematic in my samsung front load washer / dryer.

I think the error code you are actually getting maybe an F21 due to there is no listing for F12. use this kink to put the unit into diagnostics and run the diagnostic menu which will give you your exact error code as well. I await your reply

HE2 error means the heater element needs to be replaced

HE2 error means the heater element (used for drying) has failed & needs to be replaced.

check the water tempreture sensor and connection to it
