SOURCE: cleaning

The waistinktank is full and has to be changed. Buy a new one from a service partner. Dont clean the old one, cause the felt will be as stone afterwards and wont take up any ink! See link how to open printer: http://www.hstt.net/refill-faq/inside.html#Brother_mfc215c See here how to do the resetcode procedure: http://www.fixya.com/support/t139675-need_reset_purge_counter_due_error_46

SOURCE: Print Unable 34

There might be some paper left in the machine. Check the very edges espacially the left side (seeing from the front).

Another reason could be that the encoder strip isn t in right position or is stained from ink.

Anyway try the first solution first.

If you stll have trouble try to open the printer:
http://www.fixya.com/support/t211210-brother_mfc845cw
and have a close look to the encoder strip + disc (and look out for some paper in the edges... ;-))

Hi,

What is the condition of your print cartridges? They could have dried out during the 2 month period that you didn't use the printer. Try, cleaning the contacts of the cartridges and the printer. If you have new cartridges to try....even better.

Press Menu, * 2864. That puts in in maintenance mode. If it flashes error 48, the flat ribbon to your head is broken. You'll need to replace the entire head assembly. Press 99 to leave the maintenance mode.
