Only white light appears nothing else appears.

If you experience this with the Sony M2, there's one step to try before sending it off for repairs.

Press and hold the Power button and the Volume Up key at the same time. Hold it for at least 15 seconds, or until the menu screen comes up. From there, you can choose to boot the phone or to perform a factory reset (delete everything from the phone and start from new).

You probably tried taking the battery out and using an eraser, clean the terminals of the battery, replace do not power phone on, plug in charger and see what happens.

let it sit in the charger for 1hour then try to turn on your phone. it could be that the charger cannot charge the battery and turn on the phone at the same time and the battery is too weak to turn it on and needs a better charge.

Sounds like your charger isn't working. Meter it. Also possible, it may nt be working IN the phone.

hey, i had the same problem and i fixed it. i took the battery out and saw the 4 golden tabs behind the battery. there was two tabs that u could pull out. i lightly pulled them out a little bit. the problem was that the tabs wouldnt hit the battery to charge it. thats why it put the tri colored screen on the front. also my charger fit into the charging hole in the phone, but it had to be moved around to much that it did not fit exactly. I have been rough with the charger so it moved the inside of my phone around. i put the charger in the phone and moved it around gently around untill the light lit up on the front at the top by the word at&t. after it was completly charged, i turned it on and it worked perfectly. i hope this helps in whoever may have this problem because i know it sucks!

your problem is a firmware which would mean you would have to get your firmware reset to factory sorry mate

my sidekick 3 wont turn on at all,, it charges but when i go to turn it on. nothing.. how can it get fixed or wat kind of profesional help could i get to fix it?
