Need code to progam remote . I have a RCA TV Model L32HD31R that needs to program to cable vision remote

This is the general setup proceedings to a universal remote control.
Direct Code Entry

1. Press and hold the SETUP button until the red indicator stays on, then release the SETUP button.
2. Press and release the desired Mode button (TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator blinks, then stays lit.
3. Enter the 4 digit code from the code tables. Note: after a valid code entry, the red indicator turns off. For an invalid code, the red indicator flashes.
4. With your device on, press CHANNEL UP. If the device responds, no further programming is required. Note: If some buttons do not operate your device, try one of the other codes for your brand.

Setup code list and setup instructions to some popular model remote controls are given. Select the 'Timeslide' option from the dropdown list by the 'Sidebar' of the display window. It will make search easy.

hold down code until it stays lit, then press tv then keep hitting channel up or channel down (either one can be used, keep pressing channel button til tv changes channels when it does press enter, or ok if enter is not there, it may take awhile maybe a few channel pushes up to 200 and up times, you use this method when you don't know the code for your tv. Comcast actually has several different remotes for their different set-top boxes and the remote codes aren't always the same. They list all of their current remote devices on the following page. If you click on view manual it will give you a list of remote codes.

Follow the instructions given.

The RCA remote codes are 0163, 0001, 0004, 0006, 0011, 0029, 0030, 0057, 0071, 0133, 0145, 0106, 0171, 0231, 0232, and 2210.

Try each of these codes one at a time (as per instructions) until you find one that works.

Phillips SRU 8008 Prestigo Universal Remote works with the RCA L32HD31R Flat Screen TV and a cable box & etc.

The word from RCA technical support is that the remote for the L32HD31R operates on a different frequency and there is currently NO universal remote on the market that will work with the set. They say that they have plans to market a universal remote and that they are working with other manufactuers of remotes but there is no resolution or time frame available. In short, you will have to use two remotes and keep checking the RCA website for a breakthrough.

I'm not sure that I would have bought the TV if I'd known.

I have a RCA model L32HD31R LCD, also but the codes from comcast will not turn tv on or off.
