I know this sounds stupid check these things first. then go into your control panel and choose sound and make sure the speakers are not on mute and turned up via the computer. sometimes there will be a speaker icon down where the time is on the left side on teh start bar

No factory speakers working

You don't mention the year/make/model of the vehicle so, my response will be as vague as your problem/question. Either the speakers are not connected properly, defective or, your factory amp ( no way of knowing because you don't mention the vehicle) is not powered up or not working.

My left speaker is not working and it isn't the cable connection. It has been checked and the plug is in all-the-way.

You could just have a loose wire inside the speaker but sometimes one speaker will just go to speaker heaven. Sorry I can't give a better answer and I don't know that brand so I don't know if you can open up the speaker easily to see if there is a loose connection. Now, sometimes the plugs can just wear out too which can be replaced if it is a great set of speakers but again, back to the lack of knowledge about that brand and how hard it is to work on.

Just bought a Harbinger HX121M 2" Monitor, from Musicians Friend it did not come with a booklet on how to wire into my sound system it has two 1/4" jacks and a strange round plug about the size...

If you don't know how to connect this... well we don't either because you did not tell us what your sound system is. The larger plug is what is known as a "Speakon" connector and is a fairly reliable speaker connection that is used now. For your use you will PROBABLY use either of the 1/4 inch jacks with a cable from the amp that will drive the monitor(s). If you have multiple monitors you will daisy chain them using the 1/4 inch jacks and SPEAKER rated cables creating a string of speakers with input going into one and an output from the same one to the next speaker and so on...USUALLY you will be limited to two speakers per amp output...

I just bought Bose Companion 2 speakers which I don't know how to connect to my HP Pavillion desktop PC. The pdf instruction booklet does not help. There are multiple jacks (6) at the back of the tower...

You need to connect the speakers to the green jack in your PC.

Check your system sound volume setting to make sure it's not set to MUTE or the volume slider is on or near the lowest position - you don't specify what system you have on the PC so I can't give you an exact pointer but Volume Control generally is found under Programs -> Accessories -> Entertainment.

Please come back and rate the solution if helped or post a comment for further assistance.
