Can't register new phone model CS6829

"Register" refers to the pairing of the handset to
the base so they can communicate securely
in private via an encryption scheme so no one
can easily evesdrop.

When you first set the phone up for use, you will
need to effect the registration then:

( III.) To register each handset to the base:

1. press [Find Handset] on the base and hold for
~4 sec until the "In Use" lamp lights.
2. press # on the handset and set the handset into
the handset cradle on the base
3. within 30 seconds or so, the handset will either
chirp and display "Handset Registered", then
"Handset #x" or it will say "Registration Failed".

NOTE: the battery must be well charged prior to the
registration process, a weak battery may cause a
"Registration Failed". Charge the battery for a
few hours and try the registration ( III ) again.

To register your nuvi is very simple,

1. connect your device to your computer,
2. go to garmin nuvi website,
3. then you place the cursor on support,
4. a list will pop out, select product registration,
5. then you follow the steps to register.

That is how to register your nuvi.

You can try calling Corel they should be able to do a phone registration as long as you have the serial number from the product.

To register your Garmin GPS product simply go to the Garmin website at https://my.garmin.com/mygarmin/marketing/register.htm. If you aren't able to register the product via the website you might be able to call Garmin support. Their number is 1-800-800-1020 (U.S.).

to register the extra handset it has to be exactly the same to be compatible with the base
if it is a slightly different model or older unit it probably will not register
